The Holidays Are Upon Us!

Well, we just had Thanksgiving and Christmas will be here before you know it. I hope that during this holiday season we all slow down and remember what these holidays really represent. Thanksgiving, a time to be thankful for the blessings in your life, whether that be the friends and loved ones that God has blessed you with, or the actual material things that so many others don’t have. And Christmas, a time to remember our saviors birth. I am so thankful that he came to this old world, went through the struggles and heartaches that is life in this poor old fallen world, died for my sins, and rose from the grave, conquering death once and for all. We could never thank Him enough for that alone, much less all the blessings and miracles he has graced us with.

This Thanksgiving I am so very thankful for my family. I love each and every one of them and I pray that God blesses them more than they could ever hold. I am thankful for my friends, I have an interesting array of friends. I appreciate each and every one of you. You make this life here on earth a whole lot more fun, thats for sure! I pray that the Lord blesses you all with an amazing year ahead. I am also thankful to my God above for meeting my needs. I pray to Him daily and I wonder if He ever thinks, like a worn out parent, “What does he want now?”. And with that, I am most thankful for my God above. Without Him, I wouldn’t have any of the other things to be thankful for!

Looking forward to Christmas, I pray that each one of you is able to stop and reflect on your life and realize that God has blessed you so much. Sure you may not have the best of everything, but there’s someone out there that would kill for what you do have. There’s always someone worse off than we are. So please, stop, look around, realize all the things in your life that God has blessed you with. Whether that be a loving spouse, beautiful children, a warm home, food in the refrigerator, a place to rest your head, the fur-babies, whatever. Stop, look to your God above, and say “Thank You!”.
